Apple has officially announced the date and tagline for its annual fall event this year. The event will take place on 10 September at 1AM local time, with the tagline “Surprise and shine”. As usual, those who won’t be attending the event in person can tune in to the livestream through the company’s website and other official streaming platforms.
For those who haven’t been keeping up, this year’s event could be more significant than usual, as it will be the first major Apple event following John Ternus‘ appointment as CEO. Ternus will officially take over from Tim Cook on 1 September.
Apple didn’t specify which products it will be launching at the event. However, the company is expected to debut the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, alongside its first-ever foldable iPhone.
According to reports, the Pro models will feature Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, as well as some camera upgrades. Meanwhile, the foldable iPhone has frequently been referred to as the “iPhone Ultra” in reports, although the tech giant has yet to confirm its name. Some reports also claim that the device will feature an internal display roughly comparable in size to an iPad mini.
Reports also claim that the standard iPhone 18 might not make an appearance this year. Instead, Apple could push the device back to a 2027 launch.
Outside of smartphones, the tech giant could also introduce new additions to its accessory lineup. The company is expected to unveil the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, alongside the recently leaked AirPods 5. Another report claims that the brand has been working on camera-equipped AirPods, although the product has reportedly been delayed to 2027.
Other smart-home hardware could also make an appearance, including a new home hub, and an updated HomePod mini. However, these products are considered less certain for the September event.
