Earlier this month, Nothing announced that it will be bringing the Phone (4b) and Ear (3a) to our shores. And just as promised, the two new devices are now available for purchase in Malaysia.
We’ve already covered the specifications for the duo during the initial launch, but here’s a quick refresher in case you missed it. Both the new smartphone and earbuds serve as more accessible options for those looking to get into the London-based company’s products. Design-wise, they retain the recognisable transparent elements.
Phone (4b)
As the more stripped down counterpart to the Phone (4a) series, the Phone (4b) features a unibody design similar to the Phone (4a) Pro. Instead of a Glyph Matrix, the device sports a Glyph Bar for notification alerts. Flipping the phone around to the front, you get a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with 2,000 nits of peak brightness. Other than that, the phone comes with dual stereo speakers and an IP64 rating.
Internally, it packs a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Keeping the lights on is a 5,200mAh battery with 33W wired charging. For software, the device runs on Nothing OS 4.1 right out of the box, with the brand promising three major OS upgrades and six years’ worth of security patches. On the imaging end, you get a 50MP main + 8MP ultra-wide camera combo on the rear, plus a 16MP selfie shooter.
Ear (3a)
The Ear (3a) comes with 12mm dynamic drivers for balanced audio with deeper bass. Aside from that, it offers 45dB wideband ANC, Static Spatial Audio, and an 8-band EQ. As previously revealed, the highlight of the earbuds is the set of recording capabilities, allowing users to save short clips from media playback, among other things.
Other than that, the buds’ charging case promises up to 42 hours of listening time. Speaking of the case, Nothing has equipped it with a 3-LED matrix Status Light that can indicate information like battery levels, charging status, and pairing progress.
Pricing And Perks
Both products are now available through the brand’s official website, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, as well as at authorised retailers, which include Nothing Image Store, TMT, and Urban Republic, among others. As for pricing, the Phone (4b) is available for RM1,599 with White, Black, and Blue as the colour options. On the other hand, the Ear (3a) is priced at RM399 and comes in your choice of Black, White, Yellow, and Pink.
With this in mind, early birds can get the Phone (4b) at a cheaper price of RM1,499, plus a free Nothing Foldable Backpack and Nothing Phone Wrist Strap. This offer will run until 20 October 2026 and is subject to stock availability.
