It’s been a while since Acer announced a new laptop with its eco-friendly Vero label, but that’s among what the company has unveiled as part of its IFA 2026 lineup. Also tagging along is the Aspire G 3D 16 laptop, as well as the Aspire S 24 and 27 AIOs. While these are getting their announcements now, it will be a while before you’ll find any of them on shelves, but we’ll get to that in a bit
Acer Vero 16
As is usual with something with the Vero name, Acer has made the Vero 16 with recycled materials and low-carbon aluminium. But this new laptop has an even greater emphasis on repairability. Where you still needed a screwdriver to access the insides in older models, the Vero 16 features a tool-free access latch at the bottom instead. You even get a visual guide engraved directly on the laptop, aiding in the process of replacing the battery and SSD.
Those qualities aside, it still has a 16-inch OLED display that goes up to a WQXGA+ resolution, an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor, support for up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 512GB of SSD storage. There’s also a 5MP IR webcam, an SD card reader, HDMI 2.1 with HDCP, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, and WiFi 7 connectivity.
All that said, it will be a while before anyone sees the Acer Vero 16 on shelves. The company has so far only said that availability starts in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in Q1 of 2027, and there’s no local pricing or availability details yet.
Acer Aspire G 3D 16
Going in a slightly more fancy direction is the Acer Aspire G 3D 16. As the name suggests, the 16-inch 3D WQXGA+ display, as well as dual eye-tracking cameras, lets it transform your average 2D content into 3D instead. The company says that this is done without the need for a discrete GPU, so all you get is the AMD Radeon 8060S integrated graphics of the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor.
To power these elements of the feature, Acer has given the Aspire G 3D 16 a 99.9 Wh battery, the largest that can be fitted to a laptop before it gets barred from flights. Additional features include a RGB-backlit keyboard, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual USB-C 4.0 ports. But this will probably be the thing you’ll have to wait for the longest, as the company does not have any availability information to share at all.
Acer Aspire S AIOs
Finally, there are the Acer Aspire S AIOs. These come in 24- and 27-inch sizes, as well as a Full HD+ resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate, with optional touch and stylus support. The larger model also has QHD 120 Hz as an additional display resolution option. Screen aside, the two models effectively share a spec sheet.
This means processor choices of an Intel Core 3 304, Core 5 320, or Core 7 350, up to 16GB of single-channel LPDDR5 RAM, up to 1TB of M.2 SSD, as well as WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Other wired connectivity options include a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, two USB-A 2.0 ports, one HDMI 1.4b port, one 3.5mm audio jack, and an RJ45 LAN port. The AIO is powered by a 65W AC adapter.
Of all these products, the Acer Aspire S AIOs are the soonest to hit markets, with the company saying that availability in EMEA starts in Q4 of 2026. As with the Vero laptop, local details are still up in the air.
