DJI officially released the Mic Mini 2S in China last month. Following this initial launch, the drone maker has brought its latest compact wireless microphone to our shores. As previously revealed, the device shares many similarities with the Mic Mini 2 while introducing a few notable improvements.
Of course, the most significant addition is the internal recording capability. The transmitter comes with roughly 14.5GB of storage, allowing for up to 28 hours of internal recording at 24-bit. Additionally, it supports up to 22 hours of 32-bit recording to capture a wide dynamic range without clipping. Also on board are two modes of adaptive gain and two levels of AI noise cancellation. The three voice tone presets introduced with the Mic Mini 2 are also included here.
Aside from that, the standard receiver can be paired with up to four transmitters simultaneously. When paired, the transmission distance can reach a maximum of 400m. Content creators also have the option to use the brand’s mobile receiver, which supports up to two transmitters at a transmission distance of up to 300m. Furthermore, the Mic Mini 2S can connect natively with the company’s Osmo devices. It can also pair directly with a smartphone via Bluetooth.
On the subject of battery life, each transmitter can last up to 11 hours. Meanwhile, the receiver has a battery life of 10 hours. According to the brand, the charging case offers around 3.2 full charges, stretching the total usage time to 40 hours.
The DJI Mic Mini 2S is available through the company’s online platforms, including Shopee. Pricing starts at RM299 for a single transmitter. Other than that, customers can get a transmitter and either a mobile receiver or a standard receiver for RM419. Finally, a full set composed of two transmitters and a standard receiver retails for RM699. This bundle also includes a set of colourful magnetic covers for the transmitters.
