Huawei will be launching the Watch GT 7 series on our shores next week on 29 September 2026. Ahead of the announcement, the company has opened reservations for the wearables.
As we’ve previously covered, the two smartwatches have already launched globally, so their specifications have already been revealed. With this in mind, the brand has confirmed that both the base and the Pro models will be heading our way while highlighting a few of their notable features.
The vanilla Watch GT 7 will come in 41mm and 46mm sizes with seven colour options, while the Pro variant will be available in a single 46mm size with three finishes. Meanwhile, the new EasyCross Strap adopts a tuck-under design for a secure fit. Furthermore, the Watch GT 7 Pro will feature a titanium alloy case and a nano-tech ceramic bezel, plus a display protected with sapphire glass. Speaking of the touchscreen, both the base and Pro will sport AMOLED panels with 3,000 nits of peak brightness.
In terms of health features, the lineup will introduce the Physical Readiness Score. Essentially, this is a scoring system based on factors like recovery, heart rate variability, sleep, activity, and emotional wellbeing. Beyond that, the Diabetes Risk Study introduced with the Watch Fit 5 Pro will be on board as well. This feature determines the wearer’s potential diabetes risk using pulse-wave signals attained through the watch sensors, as well as other details like age, gender, height, and weight. The Pro will also benefit from an ECG function.

For sports, the upgraded positioning system promises more accurate route tracking in challenging outdoor environments. Furthermore, Smart Route Reconstruction fills in the gaps affected by GPS signal loss. More cycling and golf tools will also be available on the Pro model, including Intelligent Climbing Planning, Sharp Turn Alerts, and Lactate Threshold Analysis for the former, and Plays-like Distance and Shot Distance Tracking for the latter.
Battery life is rated at 21 days for the 46mm models, while the 41mm Watch GT 7 can last up to 14 days. As for everyday utility, the smartwatches retain Touch ‘n Go QR payment functionality. Finally, the devices will be compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones.

As mentioned earlier, those interested in the series can already make a reservation. To do so, simply place a RM100 deposit on the brand’s official website. Customers can also look forward to free gifts worth up to RM713, including the EasyCross Strap, FreeBuds SE 2, three months of Huawei Health+, one month of Watch Face Membership, a one-year Worry-Free Care Package, and one-year APAC Warranty. Other perks will include a limited-time RM100 rebate and a 10% discount via SPayLater.
