Last month, the DJI Osmo 360 II was spotted out in the wild, indicating that the action camera may be launching soon. Now, not too long after that, the device has cropped up in a few other places, including the SIRIM database.
As usual, the listing only reveals so much, as the only information of note is the camera’s name and model number. Beyond that, the entry shows that the device received approval on 24 July 2026.
For further details, we can direct our attention to an unboxing video shared by serial leakster Igor Bogdanov. In the video in question, a full bundle is unpacked, revealing a selection of accessories alongside the camera. Additionally, the video compares the upcoming model with its precursor, and for the most part, it looks like DJI is sticking with the same square design. The company is also expected to keep the same 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor.
That said, the device will introduce some improvements. As seen in the video, the battery is getting bumped from 1,950mAh to 2,150mAh, marking a 10% increase. This aligns with a previous leak. Aside from that, past reports suggest that the new model will be capable of recording 8K video at 60fps. Other supposed features include faster USB-C charging, as well as user-replaceable lenses.
For now, the drone maker has yet to confirm or deny these assertions, although it has started teasing the successor to the original Osmo 360—incidentally shortly after Insta360 confirmed the launch date for the X6. The brand also revealed that the Osmo 360 II will be launching in China this week, on 13 August 2026.
With this in mind, though, it’s unclear when the 360-degree camera will be arriving on our shores. At the moment, it seems that this launch only concerns the brand’s home turf. That said, given that the device is already listed in the SIRIM database, its local debut is unlikely to be too far away.
