Earlier this month, ASUS unveiled the ROG Rapture GT-BN98 series of WiFi 8 routers. At the time, the brand confirmed that it will be bringing one of the models in the lineup to Malaysia, namely the ROG Rapture GT-BN98 (BN25000). Now, ahead of the device’s scheduled release, the company has opened pre-orders for it.
We’ve already covered the router’s specifications, but in case you missed it, the GT-BN98 (BN25000) is one of two models in the series. The other, called the GT-BN98 Pro (BN30000), will only be available in the US region. That said, the brand did not really specify how the two differ from each other. Regardless, both models feature a dual-band WiFi 8 design and offer a total wireless throughput of up to 30,000Mbps.
Internally, they feature a 2.6GHz quad-core processor, which gets paired with 2GB of RAM to allow them to deal with demanding networking workloads. In addition to this, ASUS has equipped the devices with two 10Gbps ports and four 2.5Gbps LAN ports, ensuring flexible multi-gigabit wired connectivity. Other features include a 3D structural build that combines a 16-antenna architecture into eight high-performance external antennas. The routers also come with an advanced thermal infrastructure that supports sustained performance, capacity, and coverage across the network.
The ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BN98 (BN25000) is already available for pre-order with a suggested retail price of RM3,988. Those interested can head over to the brand’s official sales platforms, including Shopee and Lazada. More options are also listed on the company’s website.
The brand is also offering RM200 Steam Wallet Codes to customers pre-ordering or buying the router within the promotion period, which will last until 18 October 2026. To redeem the code, buyers must submit the invoice or receipt and the product serial number. Of course, this is subject to certain terms and conditions, which you can read over on the dedicated page.
