After making its first appearance at the National Day Parade at the start of the month, HONOR has officially launched the X9e Pro smartphone in Malaysia. In case you missed last week’s report, the company is positioning the device as its newest durable smartphone.
Without any delay, the X9e Pro features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a resolution of 1,280 x 2,788, and a peak brightness of 10,000 nits. The body has a thickness of 8.1mm, weighs in at 203g, and has a water and dust resistance rating of IP68, IP69, and IP69K.
Under the hood, the X9e comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset and an Adreno A812 GPU. The device only has one RAM configuration, which is 8GB, but the company is pairing this with 16GB HONOR RAM Turbo for a total of 24GB. Storage, meanwhile, goes up to 512GB of storage.
Keeping the lights on is a whopping 11,000mAh battery that can allegedly last for up to 66.8 hours of continuous video playback. The cell can quickly reach maximum capacity because it supports 80W charging. It can also keep other devices charged because it supports 27W reverse wired charging.
For Software, it runs on the company’s own MagicOS 10.0, which is based on Android 16. In terms of imaging, the X9e only has two rear lenses: a 108MP main with f/1.75 and a 5MP ultra-wide with f/2.2. On the flip side, the phone has a 16MP selfie snapper in a punch-hole cutout.
The HONOR X9e Pro comes in two configurations, which are 24GB + 256GB, and 24GB + 512GB. They are priced at RM1,899 and RM2,399, respectively. Consumers have four colourways to choose from: Royal Purple, Reddish Brown, Dawn Gold, and Midnight Black.
In the event you want a unit you want for yourself, you’d have to wait, as the device is not available yet. Pre-order starts today, 24 September, and lasts until 8 October. Those who avail the phone during this will receive 730 days of HONOR Rakyat Care+, one year of extended warranty, an RM100 instant rebate, and a HONOR Pad X7. These gifts have a total worth of RM1,626. Those interested can place their orders now at the company’s website, official online outlets, and authorised physical stores. It’s worth noting that the phone will be available as a part of telco plans from 8 October 2026 onwards.
