HONOR has officially launched the HONOR Pad 20 series in the Malaysian market. The series consists of two different models: a standard version and a Pro model. As we’ve discussed previously, the tech company is largely marketing this device to students thanks to its large array of “PC-class productivity tools”. In addition to the PC-like interface, this mode promises programmes like WPS Office and PDF editing, as well as AI tools.
HONOR Pad 20

Starting with the standard version first, this tablet comes with a 12.1-inch 3K (3,000 x 1,872) HONOR Eye-Comfort LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate. The press release is a bit bare when it comes to the specifics, but the official website says it has a peak brightness of 700 nits, 292 PPI, and a DCI-P3 wide colour gamut. Other than that, it weighs in a 525g, 6.29mm thin, and comes with a six-speaker surround sound system.
The HONOR Pad 20 comes in two different variants: a standard Wi-Fi model and another that supports a 5G connection. The former comes with 12GB of RAM, while the latter has 16GB. Regardless of the user’s choice, both come with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Mobile Platform and 256GB of storage.
Powering the device is a massive 10,100mAh battery. The company claims that, because of this, the tablet can deliver up to 71 days of standby time, nine hours of video playback, seven hours of gaming, 10 hours while using the included notes and 14 hours of reading. HONOR added that the battery supports 45W wired charging but did not mention how long it will take for it to reach full capacity.

As for software, it runs on MagicOS 10, which is based on Android 16. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, Low Energy Bluetooth (BLE), LE Audio, and Auracast.
In terms of imaging, the Wi-Fi model has an 8MP camera, while the 5G version has a 13MP lens. Both variants come with an 8MP selfie snapper.
HONOR Pad 20 Pro

Moving on, we have the HONOR Pad 20 Pro. All things considered, this tablet is very similar compared to the previous models, barring a few additions which warrant the “Pro” moniker. For starters, while it has the same 12.1-inch 3K HONOR Eye-Comfort LCD screen, the Pro model comes with a higher 165Hz refresh rate. It also has a Paperlike Display making it easier on the eyes.
Under the hood this model also receives the more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. This is paired with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Keeping the lights on is the same 10,100mAh battery. The only difference here is that it can support 66W wired charging.

For software, it also runs on the Android 16-based MagicOS 10. For connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, Low Energy Bluetooth (BLE), LE Audio, and Auracast. Camera-wise, the HONOR Pad 20 Pro comes with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie snapper.
