RedMagic has officially confirmed that it will launch its latest flagship gaming smartphone, the RedMagic 12 Pro+, in China this October. Needless to say, the upcoming phone is the headliner model for the company’s RedMagic 12 series of products and is the successor to last year’s lineup.
Perhaps as a means to build up hype, the gaming-focused Nubia sub-brand has started sharing teaser images online. What is interesting, however, is that these images reveal that the upcoming model features a revised design for better ergonomics.
According to the official teaser images, the RedMagic 12 Pro+ is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, although the exact measurements have yet to be revealed. The pictures also show that the phone has more rounded corners, which the company says should result in a more comfortable feel in the hand.
The shoulder triggers have also been given a more rounded design. In another teaser, the brand revealed that the new flagship has thinner bezels than its predecessor, measuring just 0.96mm compared to 1.25mm on the RedMagic 11 Pro+.
Unfortunately, the brand has yet to reveal the phone’s full specifications at the time of writing. However, it is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, although the Nubia sub-brand has not officially confirmed this yet. The device is also expected to feature an advanced cooling system, but details about it remain unknown for now.
Although the company has confirmed the RedMagic 12 Pro+ for the Chinese market, there is still no word on an international launch. If the phone follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, however, we could see it make its way to Malaysia before the end of the year. That said, this is only speculation for now, so it is best to wait for official confirmation from the company.
