Acer has introduced the Googlebook 14, its first laptop in a new flagship category built around Google’s new Googlebook OS and Gemini Intelligence features. The convertible laptop combines a 360-degree hinge with a premium aluminium-magnesium chassis, while also supporting touch, keyboard, stylus and voice-based interactions.
The Googlebook 14 is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor with an integrated NPU capable of up to 50 TOPS for AI workloads. It can be configured with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe storage, while Acer claims up to 16 hours of battery life with fast charging.

Built For Four Usage Modes
The Googlebook 14 features a 360-degree hinge that allows it to be used in clamshell, tent, stand and tablet modes. It measures 13.9mm thick and weighs 1.14kg, making it relatively compact for a 14-inch convertible laptop.
The device comes in an Elemental Blue chassis made from an aluminium-magnesium blend, with Acer’s Comfort Touch finish applied to the palm rest and bottom cover. Its touchpad is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass and is moisture resistant, while the backlit keyboard is designed to improve visibility in darker environments.
Acer has also fitted a Glowbar on the top cover that changes its colours and patterns to indicate the laptop’s battery and charging status.

3K OLED Display And AI Features
The Googlebook 14 has a 14-inch 3K OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 500 nits of brightness and touch support. It can also be used with a USI 2.0 stylus, while a Gorilla Glass finish provides additional scratch and damage resistance.
On the software side, Acer is positioning the laptop around Gemini Intelligence, with features designed to provide context-aware assistance. Continue On, for example, allows users to continue tasks started on an Android phone on the Googlebook 14, while Cast My Apps lets users access Android apps on the laptop without installing them separately.
The laptop also supports proactive suggestions based on what is displayed on screen. Acer highlights Magic Pointer as another Gemini-powered feature, which can be activated with a simple cursor wiggle to help users interact with content on the display.

Connectivity And Security
For wireless connectivity, the Googlebook 14 supports Intel Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0. Its ports include one Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB-C ports, with the latter positioned on opposite sides of the laptop.
The device also features a 5MP webcam with noise reduction, a triple-microphone array and a physical privacy shutter for video conferencing. Security features include a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button and Google’s Titan-C Security Chip.
Acer has also incorporated several sustainability measures into the design, including 49% circular materials and packaging that is 99% plastic-free. The Googlebook 14 carries an EPEAT Climate+ designation alongside Energy Star 9.0 certification and EPEAT registration.

12 Months Of Google AI Pro Included
The Acer Googlebook 14 comes with a 12-month subscription to Google AI Pro, providing expanded access to Gemini, Flow and Gemini Notebook, along with Gemini features integrated into Google apps. The subscription also includes 5TB of cloud storage for backing up photos and files.
The Acer Googlebook 14 (GP714-91N) is set to launch in the US and EMEA in October, followed by Australia in November. Pricing starts at US$899 (~RM3,670), although Acer has yet to confirm whether the Googlebook 14 will be offered in Malaysia.
