The DJI Osmo 360 II is finally and officially launched in Malaysia. The availability of the action camera comes less than a month after its launch in China.
The Osmo 360 II is the sequel to the drone maker’s first 360° camera, sporting a similar frame. On that note, and specs-wise, the new action camera comes with dual 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensors. According to the company, these sensors can attain up to 14.5 stops of dynamic range, up from 13.5 stops on the device’s predecessor. However, the maximum dynamic range in D-Log M remains at 13.5.
The Osmo 360 II can also record 8K panoramic video at 60fps. Additionally, the AI SuperNight 2.0 noise reduction system enables improved performance in low light conditions. Aside from that, the camera is capable of capturing 4K at 240fps for slow-motion footage. Meanwhile, single lens mode can record 4K video at 120fps. Finally, the camera supports 16K time-lapse recordings. As for stills, it can snap 120MP HDR photos.
The Osmo 360 II is also capable of capturing up to 16K 360° Timelapse videos using Clouds modes, as well as up to 8K Vortex wraparound videos at 120fps.
Powering the Osmo 360 II is a 2,150mAh that DJI says should provide users up to 100 minutes of 8K at 30fps footage. Oh, and the camera also comes with 105GB of built-in storage and weighs 183g.
The DJI Osmo 360 II won’t be sold separately, but rather, it will be sold in three packages. The first is Standard Combo, which retails at RM2,189 and comes bundled with an extra Osmo Extreme Battery Plus, a Camera Protective Case, an Osmo Cleaning Cloth, an extra USB-C to USB-C cable, and an Osmo Silicone Lens Cap 2.
The second package, known as the Limitless Riding Combo, is the Standard combo plus one additional accessory: a heavy-duty Clamp Mount Kit. That retails for RM2,299.
Lastly, there’s the Adventure Combo. This is the premium of the three, coming in at RM2,689. At that price, you get the Standard Combo plus two extra Extreme Battery Plus units, an Osmo Multifunctional Battery Case 3, an Adjustable dual-direction Quick-Release Adapter Mount, and an invisible selfie stick with a maximum length of 1.2m when it is fully extended.
In conjunction to the official launch, customers who purchase the Osmo 360 II between now and 30 September will receive a free DJI Care Refresh 1-Year plan worth RM169. Do note that customers can also purchase a 2-year plan, but that will cost RM289.
