Honor Malaysia has quietly listed its Choice Headphone series in Malaysia. The over-ear headphones are available in two variations: A standard Max version and a Pro model, and yes, the naming does get a little confusing.
The Choice Headphones Max is the more premium-looking of the two, at least, from what we’re seeing. Specs-wise, the Max utilises an angled driver structure, with each earcup housing a 40mm high resolution neodynium dynamic driver. In addition, the back of each earcup have large independent acoustic rear cavities.
Other physical aspects of the Choice Headphones Max include memory foam earcups, a 3D adaptive pivot hinge that Honor doesn’t quite explain if it is foldable or not; a headband made from a metal frame that looks suspiciously like the brand took a page out of Sony’s playbook when it designed the ColleXion; and Kona leather for the earcups. Performance-wise, the headphones support dual Hi-Res Lossless Audio, meaning it does wired and wireless lossless. Oh, and it also supports 360° Spatial Audio.
The Choice Heaphones Max are also noise-cancelling headphones, with a maximum full-band ANC of 57dB and average full-band ANC of 35dB. In terms of battery life, Honor says the headphones last up to 50 hours with ANC on, with a single charge, and up to 70 hours with the feature turned off. Also, 10 minutes of fast charging will give user up to eight hours of playtime.
As mentioned, the Honor Choice Headphones Max are already available in Malaysia for RM349.
The Choice Headphones Pro are the pricier option of the two. At RM399, the headphones are sport a hard shell body but seemingly utilise the same 40mm neodymium drivers as the Max. Additionally, it supports ANC as well as wired and wireless listening. Battery life is rated at 80 hours on a single charge, if one were to use the headphones without ANC. With ANC turned on, that listening time is halved.
As with the Headphones Max, the Choice Headphones Pro are already available in Malaysia.
This isn’t the first Choice product lineup Honor has brought into Malaysia. Back in April, the brand introduced the Choice MouseBuds Pro, a wireless mouse that also doubles as housing for a pair of earbuds. Then, in July, the company launched the Choice KUMI AI Note, a standalone AI-powered audio recorder.
