Astro is commemorating its 30th anniversary and the National Day with a double celebration this year. As part of the festivities, the company has announced a selection of offerings for its customers.
To start, new and existing subscribers can enjoy complimentary access to Astro’s full channel lineup for an entire month. This offer will run from 15 August until 16 September 2026. In addition to this, the company is introducing two pop-up channels with specially curated content, namely Astro 30 (CH 100) and Aniplus (CH 120).
The former will be available from 15 August until 31 October 2026 and will offer a wide range of international and blockbuster films, concerts, as well as other popular programming. Among the highlights are all eight Spider-Man films, Borneo Rising, The Last Kopek Senario Reunion 30 Tahun, BTS: Love Yourself in New York Concert Film, How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, Tekad: Ekspedisi Guthrie Everest 2026, and Tom Tom Bak Reboot. Also thrown into the mix are five original telemovies.
Meanwhile, Aniplus will be available from 15 August to 31 December 2026. If the name doesn’t already make it obvious, it is aimed at anime fans. It will offer titles like Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, Trapped in a Dating Sim 2: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs, and Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life, among others.
Beyond that, the company is also offering free access to its latest streaming service, Astro X3. Unveiled last month, the service lets users immediately begin viewing content on compatible smart TVs via the Astro app, with no box or installations required.
Moreover, Astro is expanding NJOI’s free tier to include more channels. Starting 13 August 2026, NJOI customers can have access to Astro Prima (CH 105), Astro Oasis (CH 106), Astro AEC (CH 306), and Stadium Astro (CH 802). With these additions, the total number of Free-to-Air (FTA) channels goes up to 26.
Alongside the promotions and new offerings, the company will also be hosting a few on-the-ground activities, including a 30th anniversary showcase and the KITA FM 2026 initiative. Further details on these events are up on the company’s official website.
