Not long after launching the ExpertBook Ultra in Malaysia, ASUS has expanded its business laptop lineup with three new ExpertBook P Series models. The range comprises the ExpertBook P3 G1, ExpertBook P5 G1 and ExpertBook PM5 G2, with each model targeting a different level of performance and AI capability.
Unlike the ExpertBook Ultra, which focuses on a more premium and lightweight business laptop experience, the new P Series is positioned around everyday productivity, all-round performance and on-device AI processing. All three models are available in 14-inch and 16-inch variants, with 16:10 displays providing additional vertical space compared with conventional 16:9 panels.
Shared across the lineup is ASUS AI ExpertMeet, which provides AI-powered meeting functions including AI Meeting Minutes and AI Translated Subtitles. The processing is performed on-device, allowing meeting data to remain on the laptop rather than being sent elsewhere while providing features such as automated discussion summaries and real-time multilingual translation.
ASUS ExpertBook P3 G1
The ExpertBook P3 G1 is the most straightforward model of the three, focusing on everyday productivity for professionals and students. It is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, with configurations available with either the Core Ultra 7 255H or Core Ultra 5 225H, both featuring Intel AI Boost NPUs rated at up to 13 TOPS.
The 14-inch P3406CCAP and 16-inch P3606CCA variants both feature WUXGA IPS displays with a 1920 x 1200 px resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, 300-nit brightness and anti-glare coating. Both models come with 16GB of DDR5 memory, while storage options range from 256GB to 2TB depending on configuration, with support for additional SSD storage through a second M.2 slot.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, alongside a Thunderbolt 4 port, USB-C, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, an RJ45 Ethernet port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The laptops also feature an FHD+ IR camera with a privacy shutter, while the backlit keyboard has 1.5mm key travel and is tested to withstand up to 355cc of liquid spills.
ASUS ExpertBook P5 G1
The ExpertBook P5 G1 steps things up with a more premium design and OLED display while retaining the same Intel Core Ultra 7 255H processor as the higher-end configuration of the P3 G1. It comes with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD as standard, with ASUS listing support for up to 64GB of memory in the detailed specifications.
The 14-inch P5406CCA and 16-inch P5606CCA variants use 1920 x 1200 px OLED panels with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 300-nit brightness. The 14-inch model covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, while the 16-inch version covers 95%, with both offering an 86% screen-to-body ratio.
Despite the larger display options, the P5 G1 remains relatively portable, with the 14-inch model starting at 1.43kg and the 16-inch model at 1.78kg. Other features include Wi-Fi 7, a 5MP IR camera with a privacy shutter, Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, USB-A, HDMI 2.1 and Gigabit Ethernet, while the 16-inch model also gets a dedicated number pad.
ASUS ExpertBook PM5 G2
At the top of the new P Series is the ExpertBook PM5 G2, which is positioned as the lineup’s dedicated Copilot+ PC for more demanding AI workloads. It is powered by either an AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 processor with an NPU rated at up to 50 TOPS or a Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 with up to 55 NPU TOPS, paired with integrated Radeon 840M or 890M graphics respectively.
Both the 14-inch PM5406CGA and 16-inch PM5606CGA feature WUXGA OLED displays with 1920 x 1200 px resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 300-nit brightness. The 14-inch panel covers 100% of DCI-P3 and has an 86% screen-to-body ratio, while the 16-inch model covers 95% of DCI-P3 and raises the screen-to-body ratio to 88%.
The PM5 G2 comes with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD as standard, with memory upgradeable to 64GB. It also features Wi-Fi 7, a 5MP IR camera with a privacy shutter, USB4, USB-C, USB-A, HDMI 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet and a 3.5mm audio jack, while the 14-inch model starts at 1.29kg and the 16-inch version at 1.62kg.
