DJI has announced the ending of its support for two of its products: the Phantom 4 and Phantom 4 Pro drones. Through its official website, the company has stated that the service and support of the devices will be suspended starting 1 June 2025.

The Phantom 4 was released in Malaysia all the way back in 2016. The drone came with an obstacle avoidance system, and ActiveTrack, which allowed it to track any given subject. It also had a Sport Mode feature, which enabled it to have a speed of up to 70 km/h.

As for the Phantom 4 Pro, it was released just a few months after the base model within the same year. It came equipped with a 20MP CMOS sensor that could capture 4K videos at 60 fps, and an updated sensor that could sense obstacles from 5 directions. Compared to the previous model, the Pro had a maximum speed of 72.4 km/h during Sport Mode.

As with most EOL (End Of Life) arrangements across tech products, both the DJI Phantom 4 and 4 Pro will no longer receive firmware support and services. However, the drones themselves will still be able to function and be used as normal.
