U Mobile has introduced a couple of new prepaid passes for those travelling in Southeast Asia, with the more expensive one covering Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand while a cheaper version is meant for tourists visiting only Malaysia.

The new 14-Day Travel Pass can be purchased by both Malaysian and non-Malaysian prepaid customers at a price of RM35. The two-week pass gets you “unlimited” data in the four aforementioned countries, although it is limited to a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) cap of 50GB, with a speed cap of 6Mbps. It also provides unlimited calls in Malaysia.

On the other hand, the 7-Day Travel Pass costs RM12 with a one-week validity and offers “unlimited” 6Mbps internet with an FUP limit of 25GB and unlimited calls, but it can only be used in Malaysia. You can unlock uncapped speeds for either passes with a speed booster add-on, which is priced at RM1 for two hours and RM5 for 24 hours. As for hotspot usage, it costs an additional RM1 per day or RM5 for 30 days.

The two new roaming passes can be purchased through the MyUMobile app. As for postpaid users, U Mobile’s U Postpaid 68 plan includes free roaming in Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia while the U Postpaid 98 plan comes with free roaming in 63 countries.
