Barely a week after its price tag for Malaysia was revealed for the first time, the new Apple Watch Series 7 is now available for purchase through Apple Malaysia’s website. It is the last device to be rolled out in Malaysia from the recent California Streaming launch event which also saw the debut of iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, 6th gen iPad mini, and 9th gen iPad.
Powered by the S7 dual-core chip which is apparently based on the same CPU as the S6 chip in Apple Watch Series 6, the new Series 7 comes with larger case sizes and almost 20% more screen area as compared to its predecessor. Apple said that the display on Series 7 is not only more durable but also has almost 20 per cent more screen area than Series 6.
Additionally, the Series 7 now comes with a new USB-C magnetic charger that allows it to be charged up to 33 per cent faster. In case you missed our previous report, here is the full price list of Series 7 in Malaysia:

Meanwhile, we have yet to see any signs of a price drop for Series 6 as all Apple Authorized Resellers that we visited including Machines, iTworld, Thunder, Senheng/senQ, and Lazada still retained the old pricing at the time this article was published. On another hand, Series 6 has completely been removed from Switch’s website and it now has listed Series 7 although the new smartwatch is yet to be available for purchase at the moment. Nevertheless, it is rather clear that it’s only a matter of time before Apple Watch Series 7 makes its way into local retail stores.
