At a glance, they may look just like their predecessors due to the identical design language but really, what you’re seeing here is the brand-new iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Just like their non-Pro counterparts, both models will be heading to Malaysia this coming October.
Specifically, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be available pre-order on 1 October and will be hitting retail stores a week later on 8 October. In terms of pricing, they are similar to the launch price of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max last year.
However, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max also marked the debut of the 1TB option which has been rumoured prior to last night’s “California Streaming” event. Here is the full price list for the Pro model of the iPhone 13 family:
iPhone 13 Pro 128GB: RM4,899
iPhone 13 Pro 256GB: RM5,399
iPhone 13 Pro 512GB: RM6,299
iPhone 13 Pro 1TB: RM7,199
iPhone 13 Pro Max 128GB: RM5,299
iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB: RM5,799
iPhone 13 Pro Max 512GB: RM6,699
iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB: RM7,599
Interesting enough, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are no longer being made available for purchase through Apple Malaysia’s website right after iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max were made official. Of course, you are likely able to get them through Apple Authorised Resellers (AAR) and telcos which should still have some stock on their hands.
At the time this article goes live, local telcos have yet to announce their plans for any of the iPhone 13 devices including the Pro models. Nevertheless, expect them to be revealed soon enough and you might want to gauge the timing based on the official release timeline of the iPhone 13 family in Malaysia that we have mentioned above.
