After launching the series back in January, Illegear this week has announced a new addition to its Ionic ultra lightweight and thin notebook series. The new model which is called Ionic 14 is meant for those who want an even more compact notebook than the Ionic 15.

As per its name, the new Ionic 14 comes with a 14-inch display while the panel of choice still remains an IPS with sRGB coverage of 100%. Being smaller, this model is 400 grams lighter than its older siblings and at 1.05kg, it is generally among the lightest laptop in the market although it still has the same thickness as per Ionic 15 at 15mm.

Given it is smaller footprint, the Ionic 14 has smaller 47Whr battery as compared to Ionic 15’s 95Whr. Nevertheless, the laptop still comes standard with Intel Core i7-10510U and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics alongside the ability to support up to 32GB DDR4-2666 RAM and two 2TB PCI NVMe M.2 solid state drives.
