Closely associated with iPhone X, the rectangular center notch proved to be one of the most popular designs in the smartphone world at the moment since countless manufacturers have adopted it in order to deliver a full screen experience on their devices. That doesn’t mean they are not thinking of other solutions though as you can see several companies such as OPPO, Vivo, Xiaomi, and Lenovo have recently choose to adopt the slide-out form factor.
Even Samsung has been looking at that matter as well and has announced several implementations that are positioned under its Infinity Display designs during the company’s recent Developers Conference. Not only that, one of the designs, the Infinity-O which features an off-centered cutout for a camera has been rumored to appear on Galaxy S10 and Galaxy A8s.
However, it is possible that Huawei might show off its own take on the same design earlier than Samsung. Referred by many as the “punch hole” design, it can be seen on the recent teaser that Huawei has posted on its official Weibo account.
The teaser also pointed out that the new phone with the punch hole design will be making its debut this coming December. Well then, let’s see what you got, Huawei.
