You’ve seen our photo essay of The Major League Dota 2 tournament that took place in Iskandar, Johor over the weekend. Now, here’s a short video of the whole event.
Co-organised by the Livescape Group and Beatnation, The Major League sees seven international Dota 2 team – as well as one all-Malaysian team – battle it out to win a share of the RM300,000 prize pool. Not comparable to the prize pool of a Dota 2 Major or Minor event, of course, but it’s still quite a large sum of money.
The Winner of The Major League is Filipino team Execration, which managed to beat Chinese team Ehome (and former TI finalist) 2-1 to bring home RM135,000. Ehome, on the other hand, won RM60,000. More details on the Dota 2 tournament can be found here.
