As mentioned yesterday, Webe is not going anywhere despite having its name being represented as Unifi starting from today onwards. Not only that its existing service will continue to run and be made available to consumers, it seems that Webe might be launching its own prepaid plan very soon.
This is because we have noticed a reference to Webe prepaid plan on the telco’s official website:
Originally, we noticed the reference through a Google search result. After some trial and error, we managed to trigger this error notice by trying to add the telco’s standard mobile SIM card together with its data-only broadband SIM card into the same shopping cart.
Meanwhile, it is not exactly a secret that Webe will be launching prepaid plans as it has been mentioned by its parent company TM during several occasions including during its Q1 2017 financial announcement earlier this year. Hence, it is only a matter of time before we see the roll out Webe prepaid plans into the market.
The question is…how soon? Guess we’ll find out in a not too distant future.
