vivo V5 Plus Receives RM300 Price Cut

vivo devices have been getting price cuts pretty often these days, and the latest phone from the Chinese company to receive a discount is the vivo V5 Plus. Originally retailing at RM1,799, the device is going for RM300 less now.

This new price for the V5 Plus is currently offered by DirectD, and a quick check on vivo’s Facebook page indicates that this is in fact an official price cut from vivo itself. Now, the V5 Plus retails at RM1,499 – still a rather hefty price tag for a mid-range smartphone, but a price cut is always welcome.

Unlike most vivo smartphones – which usually come with MediaTek processors – the V5 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. Paired with 4GB of RAM, other specifications of the V5 Plus include a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display, 64GB of expandable storage, a 16MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus, and a 3,160mAh battery.

Much like the V5 and V5s, the V5 Plus’ selfie capability is its main appeal. The main camera is a 20MP sensor, while the secondary 8MP shooter – yes, the V5 Plus has two front-facing cameras – captures depth information. Of course, the V5 Plus also comes with a front-facing flash.

The vivo V5 Plus can now be purchased at RM1,499 on DirectD’s online store. However, only the Gold variant is available there; the Matte Black model is sold at the same price on DirectD’s lelong store instead.
