Building upon the massive success left by NES Classic Edition, Nintendo recently has announced yet another retro mini console in the form of Super NES Classic Edition. It has come to our attention that local game stores have begun to accept pre-orders for the console alongside its Japanese counterpart, the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Famicom.

Listed by Gamers Hideout and Impulse Gaming, gamers are able to pre-order either Super NES or Super Famicom version for RM 499. It is rather interesting to see that there is no price difference between both retailers, as opposed to what happened during early days of Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Famicom – do you feel nostalgic now?

In terms of release date, both retailers have confirmed that Super NES Classic Edition will arrive in Malaysia on 29 September. As for Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Famicom, it will be released almost one week later on 5 October. Both consoles will be covered by 12-months warranty from Maxsoft, Nintendo’s official distributor for SEA.

Even though it might be driven by nostalgia, there is no doubt that NES Classic Edition was a massive hit throughout the world. It remains to be seen if Super NES Classic Edition will become yet another success for Nintendo but with pre-order units being snapped away globally, you might want to act immediately if you really want your hands on the mini console.
