Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Now Retailing at RM2,399 with Free Gear VR in Malaysia

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Review 17

The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge was – and still is, in fact – one of the most attractive flagship smartphones when it was released last year. Now, the high-end phone is more affordable than ever, and it even comes with the Samsung Gear VR for free.

DirectD, one of the most renowned retailers in Malaysia, is currently selling the Galaxy S7 edge for only RM2,399. While the S7 edge can be purchased at that price point for quite some time now – especially on e-commerce sites – DirectD is sweetening the deal by throwing in a complimentary Gear VR worth RM399 (the 2016 model, of course).

For RM2,399, the Galaxy S7 edge is a very good buy despite it being a 2016 flagship smartphone. It features a 5.5-inch 1440p Super AMOLED dual-curved display, an Exynos 8890 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a reasonably sized 3,600mAh battery, and an IP68 rating.

In the camera department, the Galaxy S7 edge has a 12MP f/1.7 dual-pixel rear camera complete with optical image stabilisation. The front-facing shooter, on the other hand, is a 5MP f/1.7 snapper. While the S7 edge’s rear camera is somewhat similar to the ones on the Samsung Galaxy S8 devices, they actually perform quite differently.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge can be purchased for RM2,399 with a free Gear VR on DirectD’s online store. Alternatively, those who are interested can also get the S7 edge from the retailer at its physical outlets.
