Colour choices for smartphones may seem trivial to some consumers, but for those who who want their devices to sport a more…eye-catching colour, good news: Huawei has just unveiled two new colours for the Huawei Mate 9. Much like how it was for the Huawei P9, the Mate 9 now comes in Topaz Blue and Agate Red.
Aside from the new paint job, these two variants of the Mate 9 are similar to the standard model. These include a 5.9-inch 1080p IPS display, a HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, a generous 4,000mAh battery, as well as a rear fingerprint sensor.
And then there’s also the Mate 9’s signature Leica-branded dual-camera setup, which is made up of a 20MP monochrome sensor and a 12MP RGB sensor. The dual-camera system also comes with optical image stabilisation, phase detection autofocus, and even laser autofocus. The front-facing camera, on the other hand, is an 8MP shooter.
The Huawei Mate 9 in Topaz Blue and Agate Red will be available in China from 14 May 2017 onwards. As usual, it remains to be seen if these two new colours of the Mate 9 will be brought into Malaysia.
