While the focus of TM’s current “Thank You Surprise” campaign might be mainly on speed upgrades for UniFi customers, the mini site also seems to imply that there might be some “surprises” for Streamyx and Homeline customers. However, they were asked to check the website again today to know what are in store for them.
Certain UniFi customers have also received the same notice when they entered their account details in the website. We have since learned what TM will be offering to these customers, depending on their respective accounts:
Option 1: RM 10 discount for their Unifi/Streamyx monthly bill for 12 month, if they are Webe Mobile subscriber.
Option 2: Free HyppTV pack for 12 months.
Option 3: Free two VOD contents on HyppTV per month, for 4 months.
Option 4: RM 25 discount code for GEMFIVE.
Option 5: Asked to return back on 1 March 2017 to know their actual “surprise”.
For Streamyx customers or even certain UniFi users that might been hoping for speed upgrade as per Prime Minister Najib Razak’s announcement during the tabling of Budget 2017, it looks like that is not going to happen for the time being.
More so for Streamyx customers as it seems that TM is still not able to provide anything concrete for these base-level broadband customers even though the company has given some indication during its press briefing last October that it is working on something for them.
We do know that there might be a new Streamyx plan in June but given how the FAQ was then pulled out from TM’s official website (we managed to save it though) made us doubt it will really take place or otherwise.
