Remember Facebook’s new update for advertisements that can bypass ad blockers and continue to show ads? Well, it looks like Adblock Plus has already found a way to work around that. The latest update from Adblock Plus can now avoid ads in Facebook’s sidebar as well as News Feed.
Adblock Plus announced in a blog post that they have added a new filter to their code, so all you need to do is update your filter lists now. They have an easy guideline to help you do that, and once done, you should see Facebook the way you used to before Facebook’s update two days ago. If you do not wish to mess around with the code, just wait a day or so and the list will be updated automatically.

Adblock Plus notes that this is a cat-and-mouse game. Facebook could always make some adjustments to bypass this update from Adblock Plus. Of course, not all advertisements are bad, Facebook has been putting lots of efforts in to change their ads so they are not annoying or disruptive. They have also made it easier for users to adjust their ad preferences so you can easily filter out what you don’t want to see.
