In conjunction with this year’s Malaysia Day, TM has just revealed that consumers are able to enjoy free Internet connectivity at all TM WiFi locations throughout the country. Additionally, they are also able to enjoy HyppTV for free as well either through their set-top box or HyppTV Everywhere platform.
Available in more than 3,000 location all over Malaysia, the free access for TM WiFi is apparently unlimited in the sense that users can connect to it for as long as they like to without any bandwidth quota. That being said though, don’t expect the connection speed to be as fast as your UniFi since TM WiFi provides speed of up to 1Mbps.
As for the Hypp TV, the announcement stated that the free viewing is available for all HyppTV subscribers and it involves more than 100 channels in the IPTV service. However, our own experiences showed HyppTV users that signed up for the service using their DiGi number might not able to access premium channels on the service despite the said promo. (UPDATE: 17 Sept, 1040AM) The free access is now available on HyppTV Everywhere for DiGi customers as well.
Nevertheless, the free access for TM WiFi and HyppTV Everywhere will be available starting from Malaysia Day itself – which is tomorrow, in case you somehow forget – until 30 September.
