Asus may have announced a brand new PadFone Infinity in an event in Taiwan just last week but if you’re looking for something similar immediately and do not mind owning a device that is a little older, Asus Malaysia has just announced the arrival of the previous generation Asus PadFone Infinity (A80). Available immediately, Asus Malaysia will be bundling the PadFone Infinity (A80) together with a PadFone Infinity Station for a retail price of RM2,699.

In case you missed out on the announcement, the Asus PadFone Infinity (A80) is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz with an Adreno 320GPU. It features a 5” Full HD Super IPS display with 441ppi. It has 32GB of non-expandable internal storage (the latest PadFone Infinity has microSD card slot), 2GB of DDR2 RAM, and 2 years free 50GB on Asus WebStorage. Camera wise, it features a 13MP Sony BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 5-element lens with autofocus, LED flash and 8FPS burst shot, coupled with a 2MP camera at the front.

Other features include LTE connectivity, Nano-SIM slot, 2.4GHz 802.11a/b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC connectivity, 2400mAh battery and is available in Titanium Gray color option. As for the docking station, it features a 10.1” (1920 x 1200, 244ppi) Super IPS display with 1MP front camera, micro USB 2.0 port, and 5000mAh battery on board.

The 5-inch screen features a 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution with an extraordinary 441 pixels-per-inch for text so crisp it looks like a printed page, and wonderfully detailed high-resolution images. 64GB of storage complements the class-leading Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600 1.7GHz processor with quad-core CPU for a smooth and responsive premium Android experience, while 100Mbit/s LTE and 42Mbit/s DC-HSPA+ ensure super-fast web browsing and downloads.

ASUS PadFone™ Infinity (A80) features a high-performance 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 five-element lens that captures incredibly detailed images, with no shutter lag. A dedicated image signal-processor enhances low-light image quality and enables PadFone™ Infinity (A80) to capture up to 100 sequential photos at eight frames-per-second, while simultaneously recording 1080p Full HD video. PadFone™ Infinity (A80) can also output 1080p Full HD video via its Micro-USB-compatible MyDP port.

Share apps and mobile data instantly

The unique two-in-one nature of ASUS PadFone™ removes the tedious need to synchronize data between smartphone and tablet. Data and settings on PadFone™ Infinity (A80) are available instantly on PadFone™ Infinity Station upon docking and running apps are smoothly reformatted to fit the larger display. Mobile data bills are also reduced, since a single data plan can be shared between both devices.

PadFone™ Infinity (A80) comes with new and exclusive ASUS apps, including SuperNote 3.1 for note taking, Story for creating stunning photo albums and ASUS Echo for voice control of PadFone™ Infinity.

PadFone™ Infinity (A80) has up to 19 hours of 3G talk time, which increases to up to 40 hours when docked into PadFone™ Infinity Station. PadFone™ Infinity Station also has sufficient battery capacity to fully recharge the docked PadFone™ Infinity (A80) up to three times.
