Putrajaya is adding autonomous electric buses to its Nadiputra public bus service. The self-driving bus service officially launches today, serving the new Route P113, which connects MRT Putrajaya Sentral to Dataran Gemilang.
According to a Facebook post by Putrajaya Corporation, the route runs a loop that begins and ends at MRT Putrajaya Sentral and covers a total of six stops, including key administrative hubs. As detailed in the post, the stops are as follows:
- MRT Putrajaya Sentral (Start)
- Kementerian Kewangan
- Istana Kehakiman
- Kementerian Belia & Sukan
- Dataran Gemilang
- Kompleks PPJ
- MRT Putrajaya Sentral (End)

It is worth noting that the operational hours are currently limited. At the moment, the service runs on workdays only—essentially from Monday to Friday. This means that it will not be available on Saturday, Sunday, or public holidays. As for the schedule, the first bus will depart from MRT Putrajaya Sentral at 7.15 AM, while the final bus will leave from that same stop at 5.45 PM. The full schedule, which is split into morning and afternoon slots, can be seen in the infographic included in the post. Of course, the departure and arrival times are subject to traffic conditions.
Another thing to keep in mind is the payment method. Each one-way trip costs RM1, with the service accepting cashless payments only. Passengers must use either a Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card. There is no mention of Touch ‘n Go or any of the Rapid Passes, so it’s likely that these won’t be accepted.

For now, it’s uncertain whether this service will be a permanent fixture. That said, official records show that a tender for an autonomous EV bus service with an 18-month duration was awarded to Handal Indah, one of the companies handling the new service. The other half is eMooVit, an autonomous vehicle firm. Its self-driving buses leverage various sensors like LiDAR, radar, and cameras to detect their surroundings and navigate traffic.
