Earlier in the month, we reported that Nothing might be working on giving the Headphone (1) a pro upgrade. While the company hasn’t confirmed anything yet, a recent report claims to have obtained official renders of the device.
These details were first reported by Roland Quandt of WinFuture. Now, if the images in his report are to be believed, then the Headphone (1) Pro will look somewhat similar to its predecessor, design-wise. It still has the same transparent plastic over the driver, but rather than being clear plastic, it now has a really dark tint regardless of the colourway of choice. Speaking of, the device only has two colour options which are black and white.
The images depict the Nothing over-ears having four buttons on the right-hand side, much like their predecessor. The left side, however, has a physical switch right beside the left earcup with the word “FLAT” labelled on it, which should hint at the switch’s functionality. Though what it does exactly is still unknown.
In case you missed it, it was as previously reported that the Headphone (1) Pro will feature a triple driver setup. One will focus on bass, the other focused on midrange, while the last is an xMEMS drive which is meant for highs. Furthermore, the audio equipment is supposedly capable of supporting Hi-Res Audio and LDAC regardless if it’s a wired or wireless connection.
ANC, on the other hand, is handled by 10 microphones. In terms of battery, it will reportedly last for up to 60 hours, though that is with the ANC feature off. Other details include Bluetooth 6.1, a 3.5mm jack, USB-C, head tracking, spatial audio support, and an IP52 dust and water resistance.
The previous report claims that the Headphone (1) Pro will be announced on 29 September and will be priced at UR349 (~RM1,650). With all that said, do keep in mind that these images originated from leaks and are not confirmed in any way, shape, or form. As such, it is best to take this information with a grain of salt until Nothing itself has confirmed the device.
