Xiaomi has unveiled its newest slim wearable, the Smart Band 11. The wearable is set to debut in China first, but we still do not know when it will hit store shelves in that market. That said, the company is already taking reservations.
It’s worth noting that the Smart Band 11 is different from the Smart Band 11 Active, which was recently introduced in Malaysia. As for specifications, the Smart Band 11 comes with a 1.72-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, up from the 1,500-nit peak brightness offered by its predecessor. It also carries a 5ATM water-resistance rating.
As the images suggest, the wearable is fairly thin and light, measuring just 9.99mm thick and weighing 15.58g. Like its predecessor, the band is available in various shell and strap options. Xiaomi is also offering the device with metal and ceramic band variants.
The company claims that the device can last for up to 21 days on a single charge. However, it did not specify the battery capacity. As for the operating system, the wearable runs HyperOS 4 and is reportedly compatible with both Android and iOS devices.
The Smart Band 11 comes with a variety of health and sports tracking features. The wearable can monitor the user’s heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and stress, as well as with dedicated health features for women. It also offers professional sleep management with HRV monitoring and AI-based sleep insights. As for sports tracking, Xiaomi says that the device supports more than 150 modes.
As mentioned earlier, Xiaomi is currently accepting reservations for the device in China through its own channels and major e-commerce platforms in the country. At the time of writing, the standard model is priced at CNY289 (~RM174), while the NFC version goes for CNY339 (~RM204). Meanwhile, both the premium Ceramic and Metal editions are priced at CNY399 (~RM240).
The device is not listed on SIRIM, so we do not know when it will arrive in Malaysia, if at all. That said, since Xiaomi launched the Smart Band 10 locally last year, there is a possibility that its successor could eventually make its way here. However, this is only speculation on our part.
