BonusLink has launched BonusLink Travel, a dedicated hotel booking platform that lets members earn Points from completed hotel stays. Available through the BLINK app (iOS / Android) and BonusLink website, the service offers more than one million accommodation options worldwide, including major brands such as Marriott, Hyatt and Sheraton, as well as boutique hotels and resorts.
This move is aimed at Malaysians who typically set aside significant amounts for holidays, allowing them to turn travel spending into rewards they can use in their everyday lives. The Points earned are not restricted to future hotel stays, as they can also be redeemed across the BonusLink ecosystem.
Earn Points From Hotel Bookings
Members can earn up to 12 BonusLink Points for every RM1 spent on eligible hotel bookings. This means a RM1,000 booking at the maximum earning rate would earn 12,000 Points, which BonusLink says is equivalent to RM120 in rewards value.
As mentioned earlier, the Points earned through BonusLink Travel can be used across the platform’s ecosystem, including rewards, vouchers and petrol purchases at Shell. BonusLink said this allows members to turn travel spending into savings on everyday expenses after their trips.
Points Can Also Be Used For Hotel Stays
BonusLink Travel also lets members redeem their existing Points towards hotel bookings, either partially or in full. This brings both Points earning and redemption into the same travel experience, rather than requiring members to use separate platforms for each.
According to BonusLink, early booking trends show strong interest in destinations including Bangkok, Da Nang, Bali, Istanbul, New York and Kuala Lumpur. The company said the platform is intended to give members more opportunities to earn meaningful amounts of Points from larger purchases such as travel, while retaining the flexibility to use them elsewhere in the BonusLink ecosystem.
