The MSI MEG X gaming monitor is finally launched in Malaysia and is expected to be available for purchase sometime in October.
First announced at CES 2026 and again at Computex 2026, the monitor is a 34-inch ultrawide. As with all ultrawide displays, it has an aspect ratio of 21:9, along gtwith a native resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels.
Additional features include a 360Hz peak refresh rate, a 0.03ms GTG response time, 10-bit colour, and the use of a 5th generation QD-OLED Panel that uses an RGB Stripe sub-pixel layout, also known as Tandem OLED. The main attraction of the monitor, according to MSI at least, is the suite of AI-based features loaded into it.
In total, the MEG X plays host to six AI-based features: AI Tracker, AI Gauge, AI Vision+, AI Scene, AI Google, and AI Scope. To activate any or all of this requires a one-button click to gain access to the onboard assistance. For that matter, the monitor is equipped with an NPU Integrated Circuit (IC), which allows the AI features to operate.
On that note, MSI has said that the MEG X is able to operate without the “extra hands” to control it. More precisely, it is supposed work passively during specific activities like gaming.
At the time of writing, MSI wasn’t able to provide us with an exact retail price, but one of its representatives told us that it should be within the ballpark of RM6,000. We’ll update this piece once we’ve gotten more information, so check back with this space.
