Videogames peripheral brand Razer has announced a limited edition lineup with Xbox, celebrating the latter’s 25th anniversary. Despite the connotation, the collection does not include a controller, funnily enough. Instead, you get a keyboard, a mouse, and a pair of TWS buds. As for the specific models featured in this Razer Xbox 25 Anniversary Collection, these are the BlackWidow V4 75% keyboard, the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K mouse, and the Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed TWS buds.
As a whole, the collection features the Microsoft console’s signature green colour, with black highlights here and there. It’s not too dissimilar to the Phantom Collection that the brand announced last year. In fact, it even features the same keyboard and mouse models. But for what it’s worth, the Xbox collection comes in a slightly darker shade of green. This newer collection also comes with the Xbox 25 branding, further differentiating the two similarly-coloured collections.
Special colour aside, the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K and the Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed are exactly the same as their vanilla counterparts. The Razer BlackWidow V4 75% is the exception, as the Ctrl key on the right has been replaced with a dedicated Xbox key, which opens up the Xbox Game Bar when pressed. This is normally opened by the Windows + G key combination, but unless you’re a streamer or content creator, you won’t really find much use for this. You do get some performance metrics being displayed by default, which will only really be useful when you play a game without Steam as the launcher.
As usual, though, the special colourway does result in slightly higher prices with a US$20 premium being applied across the board. For the Basilisk V3 Pro 35K, this means a price of US$179.99 (~RM725). It’s the same story with the Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed and the BlackWidow V4 75%, costing US$119.99 (~RM483) and US$209.99 (~RM845) respectively. They are now available for pre-order in the US, with availability starting on 20 October. No word yet on if these will be made available elsewhere as we get closer to the latter date, but for now, a Razer rep has confirmed that these are exclusive to the US.
