While it has had a noticeable presence in the country for a few months by now, VIBE Mobile announced that it has officially launched in Malaysia through a strategic partnership with U Mobile. Much like before, the emerging telco fashions itself as a lifestyle-centric service provider, aiming to provide various features as well as other privileges.

Through this partnership, the emerging telco aims to leverage the established giant’s extensive ULTRA5G network to serve its consumers while expanding its various rewards and benefits. Per the official press release, the company says that it’s “developing experiences inspired by the diverse interests, passions and lifestyles of today’s consumers” rather than adopting what it calls a “one-size-fits-all” mobile plan.

With that in mind, VIBE Mobile is positioning itself as the ideal choice for food enthusiasts, gamers, entertainment lovers, and the likes. What perhaps differentiates the company from its competitors is its loyalty system called the Vibe Mobile Points, which allows customers to earn “through their subscriptions and engagement with the platform”.

The press release details that the telco is working to establish travel-related rewards and other exclusive experiences through partnerships with travel and lifestyle brands. The brand also said that it plans to expand the value of its plans. These include data allocations, data rollover, and the ability to turn unused data into rewards.

As for current offerings, VIBE Mobile has four distinct prepaid plans which start at RM17 all the way to RM47. The telco is offering daily, weekly, and yearly data plans. At the time of writing, the company is not offering any postpaid plans. However, the website mentioned that they are coming soon.

The telco also offers IDD calls and international SMS services. SMS rates seem to be fixed at RM0.50 across all countries. Meanwhile, IDD calls come in at various rates, with the lowest at RM0.10 while the highest is at RM15.80.

In terms of its future plans, VIBE Mobile mentioned that it aims to deliver a reliable and rewarding telco experience. Unfortunately, the telco did not mention any specific strategies or programmes at the time of writing.
