YTL first announced its AI Labs’ ILMUchat, the local context-aware AI chatbot, last year. The company opened the chatbot up to the public in its beta form back in March, following a feature expansion earlier in the month. Today, the company has launched a Pro tier in addition to the freely available basic plan, plus the rollout of those new features to the general user base.
More specifically, ILMUchat can now be used to create presentation slides, design posters – interactive ones at that – as well as built apps. As before, what makes this one different from all the other offerings out there is its understanding on local context, as well as allowing users to mix languages for their prompts.

All that being said, getting the chatbot to read responses aloud still sounds jarring at times, with mispronunciation to some words, especially if the letter “e” is involved. As you’d expect, these new but more complex features are limited to free users. Though as is common, the company does not mention a specific number of times free users can use these before they run out. This problem, as it were, is solved by signing up for the Pro subscription service, which costs RM50 a month.

With that being said, a way around this by being a Yes customer. YTL is not only tying ILMUchat to the MyYes app, it is also giving subscribers free access to the Pro tier of ILMUchat. There’s also a seamless Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication process, so you won’t have to worry about not getting access to the unlimited usage of the new features. For context, you can get a Yes 5G Advanced Prepaid Starter Pack for RM10 a month. Otherwise, ILMUchat is available on the web, or as a standalone app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
