The Toyota Supra Mk4, or the A80 model if you prefer, is a very popular car in, well, pop culture. It is the model that’s included in most racing games before the fifth generation model made with BMW and its own Z4 G29. If you’re more movie buff than a gamer, then you’ll still recognise it from its appearance in The Fast and the Furious, the very first film in the series. And it’s that specific version of the car that’s getting added to the LEGO Speed Champions series.

The set consists of 292 pieces, which recreates the orange movie car pretty well. It even comes complete with Troy Lee’s ’Nuclear Gladiator’ graphic on the side. Which is probably harder to get right than the rear spoiler and the five-spoke chrome wheels. You even get a clear window showing the two NOS bottles at the back.

To hammer home the fact that this is the Toyota Supra from The Fast and Furious, the LEGO set also comes with a Brian O’Connor minifigure, complete with the T-shirt and jeans. Well, the fact that it was left hand drive also helps, to a degree.

As with the Sega Genesis LEGO set, this one for the Fast and the Furious Toyota Supra is also not yet listed on the local online store. Like that set, it’s also scheduled for a 1 June release. On the US online store, it is listed with a US$29.99 (~RM117) price tag. But by the time it gets here, chances are it will be tagged with RM119 instead.

If you recall, this is not the first car from that movie franchise. A few years back, LEGO gave the brick treatment to the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 from the sequel. When that one landed on our shores, it was priced at between RM119 and RM119.90, depending on where you got it. It’s probably also worth noting that there’s a Technic version of the same car, but without the minifig and priced at RM279.
