Last month, Nintendo announced that it will be introducing Nintendo eShop and Nintendo Switch Online in the Southeast Asia region, including Malaysia. Now, just as promised, the services are officially available here.

The eShop is directly accessible through the Switch or Switch 2, allowing players to purchase and download games and other content. Of course, those looking to subscribe to the paid membership can also do so via the eShop.

Speaking of which, the company is offering a few options for individual memberships. The first option is priced at RM13 per month. Alternatively, users can pay RM33 for three months of membership. Finally, the annual plan will set you back RM89 per year. Aside from the individual plan, there is a family membership that is valid for up to eight accounts. This subscription plan is priced at RM169 a year.

In addition to these options, the company is also offering the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. For individual memberships, this option costs RM179 per year. As for the family plan, it is priced at RM319 per year.

Among the perks of the Switch Online membership are online play for supported games, and access to over 250 games from past consoles like Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy, as well as Nintendo Entertainment System. Moreover, members can listen to game music via the dedicated smartphone app.

Additionally, save data for supported games is automatically backed up on the internet. Switch 2 users will also have access to the Game Chat feature.
