Nothing has just confirmed that it will soon be launching its next flagship TWS earbuds, the Nothing Ear (3). Despite the three in its name, it’s actually the fourth product in the brand’s audio lineup, following up on the Ear (1), Ear (2), and Ear in that order.

News of the new earbuds originated from the official Nothing social media pages. In typical Nothing fashion, the company simply dropped the name of the audio equipment, teased an image of it, and tied it all together with the word “Soon”.

In regard to its naming convention, Andrew Freshwater, the company’s Head of Global Smart Products Marketing, reasoned that “We listened to feedback regarding naming and understood that it was important for users to return to the straightforward numerical order we had attributed to Ear (1) and Ear (2).” Unfortunately, the reintroduction of the numbering might have made things more confusing than they already were.

With that said, it is unclear if these earphones will also receive an Ear (a) variant at the time of writing. However, if we follow Nothing’s typical pattern of teasing a new product on social media before releasing it to the public, we might see the new TWS buds make their debut before the year ends.
