CelcomDigi has unveiled a new AI-powered mobile security app called MobileSHIELD. The app was developed in partnership with F-Secure and serves to protect users from digital dangers including scams, malicious apps, identity leaks, and privacy threats.
To get started, the user must first subscribe to MobileSHIELD. This can be done via the Celcom Life or MyDigi apps. An SMS with the necessary login credentials will be sent to the user. Then, the user must download the MobileSHIELD app and log in with the password provided.
The app comes with a scam and security protection feature. This feature blocks fake websites and fraudulent messages. Aside from that, the app secures WiFi connections and provides protection during activities like browsing, banking, shopping, and downloading.
In addition to this, the app will alert the user when their personal information has been leaked. It also detects and shields the device from malware and other dubious apps and files, much like your typical antivirus software. For extra security when browsing, MobileSHIELD also comes with a VPN.
MobileSHIELD is now available for RM10 per month. Customers with a 12-month contract can get the subscription for only RM4 a month. To celebrate the launch of the app, customers subscribing between 7 August and 18 September 2025 can get a free trial for one month.
