Shopee has announced that it is charging sellers on its platform a RM0.50 fee for each successfully delivered order. The fee, which is known as the Platform Support Fee, will come into effect starting 16 July 2025.

This RM0.50 fee does not include the 8% SST charge, and will be automatically deducted from the order before the sales proceeds are transferred to the merchant’s account. The Platform Support Fee for each order will be listed on the tax invoice, which the seller can access through the Seller Centre.

According to the e-commerce provider, the fee is meant to support the development and maintenance of its platform, including the release of new features like the Shopee Seller Centre application and Shop AI Assistant. The fee will apply to all successful sales transactions made on the platform, including orders that are marked as “Delivered” and ones with a return or refund request accepted for “Immediate Refund” for reasons other than the buyer not receiving the item.

The company has also listed some exceptions for the Platform Support Fee. Orders made under the Fulfilled by Shopee Program are notably exempt from this charge, as well as new sellers who are just starting their businesses on the platform. Shopee explained that the fee will apply to merchants who have either listed their first product for more than 120 days, or have reached 100 orders.
