AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad yesterday has officially launched the country’s first credit cards dedicated to motorcycle users, which includes the AEON Biker Gold Visa and AEON Biker Infinite Visa. Developed in collaboration with Visa, both are designed to cater specifically to the lifestyle and financial needs of bikers in Malaysia, which make up nearly 83% of households.

According to AEON Credit’s managing director Daisuke Maeda, the initiative recognises the evolving role of motorcycles in Malaysian society, and that the AEON Biker Card is its response to this progression. He also highlighted the company’s existing 25% market share in new motorcycle registrations, positioning the cards as a natural extension of its long-standing engagement with the biking community.

The AEON Biker Gold Visa offers up to 5% cashback on motorcycle-related purchases such as spare parts and merchandise, 2% on petrol, 0.5% on other spends, and includes complimentary insurance coverage. The Infinite variant, on the other hand, steps up the offering with up to 8% cashback on bike-related expenses, 8x complimentary access to airport lounges, and 24/7 Visa Concierge services.

Cardholders will also gain access to major motorsport events, including the AEON Credit MAM Malaysia Superbike Championship and MotoGP. The company noted that additional benefits, including exclusive promotions and features via the AEON Wallet app, are in the pipeline.
