For decades, American muscle cars have been synonymous with big engines, raw power, and the unmistakable roar of combustion. However, it has also entered the electric era, with major brands like Dodge introducing the new Charger Daytona. The automaker has now announced a four-door sedan that is added to the 2026 model lineup.

In terms of design, the new four-door Charger sedan shares a common roofline, liftgate, panoromic roof and front and rear fascia with the two-door model, resulting in a bold, sleek, coupe-like silhouette. Buyers can further personalise their Charger with the available Blacktop Package, which adds dark badging, 20-inch wheels, a gloss black-painted bonnet, and even matte black “Fratzog” stripes with red accents.

Inside, the Charger Daytona sedan features a driver-focused 16-inch digital instrument cluster, complemented by a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also comes with an augmented head-up display (HUD). Standard comfort features include a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and cloth seats with leatherette accents, blending performance flair with everyday usability.

The Charger Daytona is offered as Scat Pack trim and it is built on the STLA Large multi-energy platform. Thus, it features a 400-volt dual motor with a 100.5 kWh battery pack and all-wheel drive configuration that delivers 630 hp.

Additionally, there is an added feature known as “PowerShot” which gives the car an extra 40 hp for 10 seconds. Dodge claims that the car can do the century sprint in just 3.3 seconds. There is also the optional Track Package enhances the Charger’s capabilities with larger 20-inch aluminium wheels, high-performance Brembo brakes, an adaptive suspension system, a gloss black rear spoiler, and sport-inspired leather and suede performance seats.

The Charger Daytona offers an estimated range of 388 km on a full charge and it supports ultra-fast charging with a 350 kW DC fast charger, which can bring the battery from 20% to 80% in just about 24 minutes. Using a more commonly available 175 kW charger, that same charge takes around 42 minutes. For home charging, a standard 11 kW Level 2 unit can replenish the battery from 20% to 80% in approximately 5.4 hours.
