Tesla Model Y Juniper Deliveries Has Begun In Malaysia

The first deliveries was done through Tesla delivery and service centres in Cyberjaya, Penang and Johor.

Tesla made its official debut in Malaysia on July 20 2023 with the unveiling of the Model Y SUV. Recently, the American automaker announced that it has begun the first deliveries of the Tesla Model Y Juniper in Malaysia. The deliveries were done through the Tesla Delivery Centre Cyberjaya, Tesla Service Centre Penang and Tesla Service Centre Johor.

The Model Y is offered in two variants – Rear-Wheel Drive and Long-Range All-Wheel Drive – with prices starting from RM195,450 and RM242,450 respectively. Moreover, Both EV variants can be equipped with expensive add-ons, including as an all-white interior for RM5,000, Enhanced Autopilot for RM16,000, Full Self Driving (FSD) for RM32,000, and many more, just like other Tesla models.

The Tesla Model Y Juniper brings a refreshed design with a front cross-car lightbar, Cybertruck-inspired rear tailgate, and aerodynamic upgrades for improved efficiency and stability. Inside, it features a revamped charging console, silver-accented floor mats, vegan suede trim, and a panoramic silver-coated glass roof for better heat insulation and cabin quietness.

Tech highlights include a larger 15.4-inch infotainment screen, 8-inch rear touchscreen, ambient lighting, ventilated seats, and the return of a traditional indicator stalk. Performance-wise, the RWD model offers up to 466 km of WLTP range and does 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, while the Long Range AWD version delivers up to 551 km and hits 100km/h in 4.8 seconds.

Charging capabilities include up to 175 kW DC for the RWD, and 250 kW DC for the AWD via Tesla Superchargers. Moreover, the owners of the Model Y juniper will be able to enjoy the lowest Supercharging rate of RM 1.19/kwH at all 14 Supercharging Stations with 64 Superchargers in Malaysia.

The automaker also added that six supercharging stations are being added in the Malaysian EV ecosystem. The charging stations will be available soon at Pavilion Damansara Heights, Bangsar South, IPC Shopping Centre, I-City Finance Avenue, The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey and Toppen Shopping Centre.
