It appears that AMD is in the midst of preparing two Ryzen products, one codenamed Medusa Ridge and the other being something called “Gorgon Point”. This is the first time the second product has appeared or even been mentioned online, having reportedly been revealed by both LG and AMD during a special event.

Based on the leaked slide, Gorgon Point appears to be a refresh of the existing Strix Point series, just with increased clock speeds, yield optimisations, and some tweaks to the NPU’s overall performance. It’ll also use the same Zen5 CPU cores and RDNA3.5 cores as before.

Interestingly, Gorgon Point looks to be the first time AMD will be throwing in a Ryzen AI 3 SKU into the lineup, which is listed as a 4-core Zen5 APU. It doesn’t say just how many RDNA3.5 cores but will deliver the same 50 TOPS performance from the XDNA2 NPU.

As for availability, AMD reportedly plans on launching Gorgon Point in 2026 at the earliest. Further, it is unconfirmed if the red chipmaker plans on following its naming convention and make it the Ryzen AI 400 Series.
