Intel’s Panther Lake CPU made an appearance during the recent Embedded World 2025 exhibition. The next generation mobile CPU was captured by German outlet PC Games Hardware, with images clearly showing the front and back of the silicon.

Panther Lake is the official codename for what will later be known as Intel’s Core Ultra 300 Series mobile CPUs. It is the successor to the current Core Ultra 200 series, also known as Lunar Lake.

Images of Panther Lake show a die that is physically longer than Lunar Lake. The CPU will be one of the first to be built upon the blue chipmaker’s 18A process. The “A” is in reference to the Angstrom unit of measurement or to put it in another way, it means 1.8nm.

Panther Lake is also set to debut Intel’s Xe3 GPU core, also known by its codename Celestial. The direct successor to the current Battlemage, Intel has promised that the new mobile processor will have as many as 16 cores, along with 180 TOPS in AI performance.

This isn’t the first time Intel has shown off the 18A Panther Lake. Back in October last year, it debuted the processor to the Lenovo CEO during Tech World.
