Thunder Match Technology (TMT) has been appointed as an authorised retailer for Starlink, the satellite internet service developed by SpaceX Exploration Technologies Corp. This partnership adds the local retailer to the growing list of authorised resellers of the service in Malaysia, joining the likes of MEASAT, Redtone and Senheng.

As mentioned in its press release, TMT aims to make Starlink products accessible to Malaysians from all backgrounds by leveraging its network of 48 physical outlets across the country, as well as its online presence. The company also expects this collaboration to help deliver reliable connectivity to remote and underserved areas nationwide.

For the uninitiated, Starlink leverages a constellation of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites to deliver high-speed, low-latency broadband. This technology is designed to bridge the digital divide, ensuring reliable internet access for households and businesses, even in challenging geographical areas. The service itsellf officially launched in Malaysia back in July last year.
